Use the custodian that matches the Winnebago County record:
- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Criminal records and rap sheets: contact the Wisconsin DOJ Crime Information Bureau, operator of the Centralized Criminal History database
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Winnebago County Sheriff's Records Unit
- Official Wisconsin record checks: order through the Wisconsin Online Record Check System (WORCS)
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement: confirm the sentencing order and filing route with the Clerk of Circuit Court

The Clerk of Circuit Court record counter is in Room 110 of the Winnebago County Courthouse, 415 Jackson Street, Oshkosh, WI 54901. Weekday hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; on an occasional Thursday staff-meeting morning, the counter reopens no later than 9 a.m. Call the Records Clerk at 920-236-4841, Criminal/Traffic at 920-236-4856, or the main office at 920-236-4848.
